The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is the world’s leading youth development program, empowering young Australians aged 14-24 through physical activity, voluntary service, new life skills, and adventurous journeys.
At our College, students who choose to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award demonstrate self-direction and independence, managing and completing the award requirements in their own time. They receive support from an Award Coordinator at the school. The Award is first introduced to students in Year 9 at the Bronze level, with opportunities to progress to the Silver and Gold levels if they wish. There are a number of activities suggested for students as part of the award program.
