Marist Catholic College Penshurst provides a variety of opportunities for our students to be involved in Sport. The College participates in two representative sporting competitions, holds annual swimming and athletics carnivals, and internal sport is held weekly on a Thursday afternoon where students have the choice of a number of activities such as Gym, Soccer, Oztag, Dance, Ten Pin Bowling, Tennis and many others.
Boys Representative Sport
Marist Catholic College Penshurst has been a member of the Christian Brothers Sporting Association (CBSA) since 1986 and fields representative teams in single term competitions in AFL, Basketball, Cricket, Rugby League, Football, Futsal, Touch Football and Volleyball. There are three Divisions: Junior (Yrs 7–8); Intermediate (Yrs 9–10); Senior (Yrs 11–12). We also field teams in One Day Gala competitions in Baseball, Chess, Golf, Table Tennis and Tennis.
Pathways to further representative honours are available through the CBSA to the CCC and State Level.
Girls Representative Sport
Our College has been a member of the Sydney Catholic Colleges Sports Association (SCC) since 2015 when the school became co-educational and fields representative teams in single term competitions in Volleyball, Netball, Basketball, Football, Touch Football and Softball. There are three Divisions: Junior (Yr 7); Intermediate (Yrs 8–-9); Senior (Yrs 10–12). We also field teams in One Day Gala competitions in Dance and Cricket.
Pathways to further representative honours are available through the SCC to the CCC and State Level.
